Exploring Recent Trends in AI

The seminar on “Recent Trends in Artificial Intelligence,” held on 27th November 2024 at AMCET, was led by Mr. Ashok Kumar, Software Trainer at FIIT. The session covered the latest advancements in AI, including applications in industries like healthcare, robotics, and finance. Mr. Kumar also addressed ethical concerns related to AI, such as bias and data privacy. The seminar concluded with a discussion on the future of AI, including emerging technologies like Explainable AI. Participants left with a deeper understanding of AI’s transformative potential and its ethical implications.

Hands-On Machine Learning Workshop

On 20th November 2024, students from the CSE, ADS, and IT departments of AMCET attended a Machine Learning workshop at Crescent Engineering College, Vandalur. The workshop focused on providing in-depth knowledge of machine learning coding, equipping students with hands-on experience in implementing various machine learning algorithms. During the session, participants gained practical insights into the applications of machine learning, enhancing their technical skills. The workshop proved to be an enriching experience, fostering a deeper understanding of the rapidly advancing field of machine learning.

Factors Shaping a Graduate into an Engineer

On 26th October 2024, AMCET hosted an online seminar titled “Factors Shaping a Graduate into an Engineer” with Dr. D. Govindaswamy as the chief guest. Dr. Govindaswamy shared valuable insights on the essential factors that mold engineering graduates, emphasizing the importance of a strong academic foundation, practical experience, and soft skills like communication and leadership. He also highlighted the need for continuous learning, adaptability to technological advancements, and professional ethics in the engineering field.

AMCET Literary Fest 2024

On 24th October 2024, the English Department of AMCET organized a vibrant Literary Fest, celebrating the power of literature and creativity. The event featured a series of engaging competitions, including Author Drawing, Poetry Writing, On-the-Spot Speech, One-Act Play, and Creativity Level on Literature. These contests provided students with an opportunity to express their literary talents and artistic flair. The fest saw enthusiastic participation, with students showcasing their creativity and passion for literature. The event fostered a deeper appreciation for the literary arts and encouraged students to explore various forms of expression in the world of literature

Yoga for Health and Well-Being

On 10th October 2024, the Youth Red Cross at AMCET organized a Yoga Program aimed at promoting health and well-being among students and staff. The event was graced by Dr. S.T. Venkateshwaran and Dr. A. Gaythri from the International Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy Medical Sciences, Chengalpattu, who were the esteemed chief guests. The program included a series of yoga sessions focused on physical fitness, mental relaxation, and stress management. Dr. Venkateshwaran and Dr. Gaythri shared valuable insights into the benefits of yoga and naturopathy for a balanced lifestyle. The session was a success, with participants gaining practical knowledge on incorporating yoga into their daily routines for better health and well-being.

AMCET Mini Project Expo 2024

On 7th October 2024, AMCET hosted a Mini Project Expo, providing a platform for students to showcase their innovative ideas and projects. The event featured a wide array of projects from various departments, where students presented their work in areas like technology, engineering, and design. It was an opportunity for participants to demonstrate their creativity, problem-solving skills, and technical knowledge. The expo also encouraged peer interaction, feedback from faculty, and a sense of accomplishment among the students. The event was a great success, highlighting the innovative spirit and technical prowess of AMCET students

NSS and Drug Awareness Seminar

On 4th October 2024, AMCET organized a seminar on NSS (National Service Scheme) and Drug Awareness, aimed at promoting social responsibility and community well-being. The seminar focused on raising awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of community service. Students and faculty members participated actively, learning about the role of NSS in addressing social issues and how they can contribute to the welfare of society. The event also provided valuable insights into preventive measures and rehabilitation options for drug addiction. Through this initiative, AMCET extended its services to the nearby community, fostering a spirit of social responsibility among students.

Inauguration of ADZAP CYBERGAME : AMCET’s Cyber Security Club

Induction Program 2024 : Welcoming First-Year Engineers

The Induction Program for first-year Engineering students was held from 5th of September to 17th of September 2024.
This program aimed to familiarize new students with the campus, academic expectations, and available resources, while fostering a sense of community among peers.
Also this program helped to inculcate the ethos and culture of the institutions in them.
It helped to create bonding in the batch as well as between faculty and students, develop awareness, sensitivity and understanding of the self, people around them, society at large, and nature.

Insights from Distinguished Alumnus Subash Ashok at AMCET

On 15th September 2024, AMCET hosted a Distinguished Alumni Program focused on Job Readiness, featuring Subash Ashok, a proud alumnus and Power and Control Engineer. During the session, Subash Ashok shared his career journey and provided valuable insights on the skills and mindset required to excel in the engineering industry. He emphasized the importance of technical expertise, practical experience, and soft skills like communication, problem-solving, and teamwork in securing and succeeding in engineering roles.

Onapulari 2024

On 12th September 2024, AMCET hosted a combined celebration of Onam and Freshers’ Day under the name Onapulari. The event embraced the traditional festivities of Onam, including Pookalam (flower carpets), cultural performances, and a grand Onam Sadya (feast). Simultaneously, the occasion was transformed into a welcoming platform for Freshers’ Day, where new students had the opportunity to interact, mingle, and build connections with peers from different branches. The event created a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere, allowing both freshers and senior students to celebrate the cultural richness of Onam while forging new friendships and bonds across departments.

Teachers' Day Celebration 2024 at AMCET
