Tamilnadu Engineering Admission Procedure

Government Quota

TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission ) is a state-level counselling for admission to the undergraduate B.E/ B.Tech degree courses offered by the institutions or colleges located in the limits of Tamil Nadu state. TNEA counselling form will be issued to the students who complete higher secondary every year. Tamilnadu Engineering Admission TNEA is an authority conducting counselling for the 12th students who wants to join in engineering B.E / B.Tech / B.Arch. Students from other states can also pursue engineering education from TNEA admission process. They have to submit the Anna University counselling application form before the last date. Mostly the form will be available in all govt. engineering colleges and Anna universities. Students can submit the filled form directly to the centers or can send the application through post.

TNEA Eligibility

The candidates from the native of Tamil Nadu state are eligible to apply. The outside candidates who studied their schooling in Tamil Nadu may also apply. The children of persons who have been serving in Public sector or government sector for the last five years in Tamil Nadu may also apply for TNEA.

The candidates must have passed the 12th (intermediate) or its equivalent examination from the government recognized board with the subjects as Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry with the percentage of 50% (for general candidates), 45% (for backward class including Muslim), 40% (MBC & DNC) and 35% (for SC/ST/SCA) candidates.

Form Submission

The  candidates  must  have  to  send  the  application  form  along  with  the  documents mentioned as above and DD of application fee (in favour of “The Secretary, TNEA, Anna University, Chennai – 25”) to the following address within the given time.

Counselling Information:

The counseling dates and time through a call letter will be sent by post. The merit list will be drawn according to candidates’ marks in the test and thus their rank will be determined. The venue of attending counseling rounds will also be mentioned in the counseling letter.
